Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a distinguished chair in psychology within the University of California Davis and is the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. The university is widely acknowledged for starting the modern scientific study of children's eyewitness memory, as well as the use of children's victims as witnesses in legal settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won numerous awards and grants. She has provided advice to numerous government organizations and government agencies all over the world on policy and studies pertaining to the care of children who are victims through the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly it was the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of various professional associations, for example, the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association.
