Aurora
Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the record label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise by music journalists and media. The singer has released a number of high-profile songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which have been widely praised. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. This brought her some recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding an old grand piano hidden in the attic. She was fascinated by the possibilities it offered. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to pursue music solely for fun or as a means of development but instead, she should pursue it. The singer began to write her own songs. Her influences include renowned authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love of Bjork's style. Her mother was supportive of her performing her songs in public, not to achieve fame, but rather to help others realize how important they are and how they can make a difference for humanity. The piano was her first instrument, at six. She started writing music when she turned nine. The family did not know until the age of fourteen. Aurora had no idea of being famous. Aurora claims she loves creating songs. Music to her is the best method to experience anything.
