Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. The university is widely acknowledged for initiating the contemporary scientific study of children's eyewitness memory as well as child victims' witnesses in legal situations. Professor Goodman is a prolific author she has won many awards and grants. She has worked with numerous organizations and government officials across the globe regarding policies as well as research on children who are victims of the justice system. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of various professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child the Practice and Policy.
