Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. Her name has been widely praised as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses as well as eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded many grants and has received numerous award both international and national. She has collaborated with a variety of authorities and organisations across the world on policy and research pertaining to children who have been victims of the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center that was formerly known as The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a participant in Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
